Manfrotto RC2 Head can it be modified ?
Is it enough mxnual a refresh to keep up with the times? I have a thread going in the for sale forum if anyone is interested. The ball head that I used was the Manfrotto RC2 compact ball head which has now been discontinued and replaced by the RC2. The built-in bubble spirit level is a nice touch. If you’re looking for a high-quality camera, you don’t need to spend a ton of cash, nor do you need to buy the latest and greatest new product on the market. I started to drill out the plugs to reposition the release plate and immediately realised that they were made of rubber not the matt black pop rivet I thought they were.

That’s what adjusts the grip strength on the ballhead. I disassembled the Manfrotto RC2, for same allready mentioned reason. I then placed my camera and lens onto the quick release plate, and made further adjustments allowing for the weight of both.

With the box and manual, in fact one has seen no use at all and the second only used two-three times total. Hopefully you got the correct wrench with the head;otherwise, it’s a standard size and shouldn’t be hard to find.
This was cumbersome at times, as the lever was sometimes too tight. Most bookmarked in this forum.
