I heaved a martyred sigh that rivaled hers, fighting to keep the smile from my lips at her look of righteous indignation. You have my undivided attention. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes an original read that offers action, adventure, mystery, romance, with a dollop of comedy.

The blond captain paused in the act of following Barn out the door, slowly turning to face me. The character of Holder was pretty funny and provided the majority of the comedy in the book. Corbin looked thoughtful, but I could see a wicked twinkle in his eyes. The one you talked to last month? I glared at her and ignored the challenge. Another blue-white flash illuminating our tiny back yard heralded the onslaught of the storm.
What a pain in the ass. If I’d actually liked Amy as a character, I probably would have been yelling at her to run. The sex scenes were funny and sexy. And Corbin is none other than the man behind the game—the programmer and owner of the company. The second man shoved the first one back. This Game Girl has wreaked havoc on the high seas—but the tide is about to turn I have no personal, professional, nor familiar relationship to the author.
I tried half a dozen times to get through the supposed romance scene that I ended on, but it was just too awkward. A very contemptible line of life, with a premium at a high rate. The Last of the Red-Hot Vampires. But, because the ending was so disappointing, I would point readers to other Katie MacAlister novels—she has dozens. How pathetic was that, and worse, why was I even considering it?

Clearly, this was not the book for me, macalisher I am exceedingly picky when it comes to romance. Amy Stewart is a buttoned-up financial analyst when her daughter talks her into trying out a virtual reality pirate game. No one bustling around the square gave the dead man so much as a second look. Overall I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to read a happy, fun book with some great characters.
