I’m actually shocked how different the lead character was, Gumpp actually think if I read this book before the movie, I might have been really annoyed. One of the best things about this novel is that every bizarre thing that happens to Forrest is actually explained in a somewhat believable manner, and every grooom connects seamlessly. I love the film, but hate this dang book!

The mission is discovered, and everyone disavows responsibility save for Forrest, who is jailed. I think Forrest Gump -the novel- had a lot to do with how much I’ve tried to be empathetic towards people as I’ve grown up.
