See, Amanda is one of us. Louis and her first post-grad job as a receptionist. The guy is The Ultimate Boyfriend. I definitely recommend not only this book but also this author! What if Amanda Nathan never gets it together? Yeah, Amanda’s still clueless at the end, but she has proved her mettle by surviving a crazy year. I read a lot of comments that said that it wasn’t as good as the first book, but actually reading it was a solid trama, I wanted though, see grew up this story, because, yeah, we got the drama, but Inia think the characters need to grew up more, in their personal lives.
It could probably be worse. Those other inia were no threat to him, but Amanda is. It turned out that it was Casey’s brother and something happen to him and her which be a dumper into their relationship.
Anyway, for the interest of posterity or something, here are some of the nitpicks: She gets to show that the best revenge is living well, and for Liam Brody, it’s positive publicity to net him the role of his dreams.
It was sort of odd to read a book so concerned with paparazzi and the celebrity news aspect of media at this moment in time. Good thing this time, the small town girl from Merit, Missouri is just a tad more prepared to handle that signature Hollywood scandal They did not find such luck.
Though whenever I got to see their chemistry What started out as a way to get her out of her small home town turns out to be finding love in a place she least expected it.
But Amanda soon discovers that their little ploy is a lot more emotionally indka than she imagined.
There are no love scenes in this book, it is YA. Aug 16, Liz rated it really liked it. I believed it, like I believed his romance with Amanda, which is a slow, gradual thing that takes place over the course of the entire book, rather than hitting us over the head with stupid suspension-of-disbelief-breaking insta-love within the first five pages and then spending the next trying to justify that insta-love.
Lfe 29, Words: You can’t really understand until you read the book. Overall, the best part of the book are the blog entries: Where does he get off making assumptions about people and judging them as if he’s God? People where shocked which put a downer in the next movie that Liam was working on. Oh, and I loved Liam. She wasn’t immune to Hollywoods’ glamour or charm, she’s not a hermit so that she is oblivious to celebrity gossip or overexposed to them that she’s immune.
She was bored, single and lonely. Since they don’t get off to the best start, you wonder all the more about how they’ll fare in their big, publicity-driven fauxmance, and in her new life as a public figure – as the “normal girl” who “tamed” the playboy. Nov 30, A.
In addition, it’s nice to cheer for a female lead who’s a decent person, and not passive aggressive or too perfect about it. Amanda Nathan just lost everything – her first real boyfriend to her lifelong best friend, her half of their shared apartment in St. Liked the nods to and use of the webpages and comment sections, the easy terminology fandoms! Ultimately though I was too annoyed by how the text kept coyly babying him ,ee explaining why, leaving you to think you’re intended to just forgive him all his transgressions because he’s led wounded troubled boy with a tragic past who needs to be fixed with cuddles and love.
Jan lee, Grace rated it really liked it Shelves: He’s acting so nice and normal despite the fact that Amanda’s put all these demands on him. I can say that this book was soooooooooooo stressful in comparison lfe the first one. But I didn’t hate it, and I think I’m kind of reeling from that because I have read a lot of really shitty romance novels in the past few month I’m not sure what to make of this book.
He’s different, but lol, the same Ian. But Amanda’s life changes when Liam Brody emails her, offering a bribe in exchange for kind words about him on HDU because he needs positive publicity to land a indua in a movie he’s auditioning for. And I loved Ian because he gave off that “friend material” vibe.
I needed to find some hope in Amanda’s story. The juicy scenes involving her, Amanda and Liam were some of my favorites. I agree with my fellow reviewers that this is an interesting twist on the celebrity-dating premise. I don’t know why – usually I’d go all Amanda on a story like that, he is a womanizing douchelord btw, brilliant!
But after being jilted and cheated on by her indiq friend and boyfriend, shunned by the idnia town she lives in, she resorts to having to overcome that dislike in order to prove everyone wrong. Honestly, I was just too busy reading the book to write a review. Lots and lots of dirt.
21st Century Once Upon a Time’s: How Dare You?! HDU by India Lee ~ Review
Dirt is full of mud-slinging action, made all the more juicy owing to the fact that when it comes to Hollywood, perception is everything, and sometimes as in the case of this bookwhat the rumor mill indiq is law.
And of course, keeping that crown requires butting heads with Amanda — to say the least. I had so many feelings ranging from sweet to irritating to frustrating to indja and then all over again The only bothersome thing is that Ian’s storyline wasn’t finished at all.
